The Stables Cafe has been around for a long time (since 1987). It has become a staple in the life of Guthrians. It's all about great food at a reasonable price, good service by an experienced staff and a nostalgic look back to the past. A feeling you'll get the moment you walk through the doors. There is a little bit of everything at the Stables and a lot of a lot of things.
The Bar-b-q cooks constantly to keep up with the demand. It's a little sweet and a bit spicy but very tasty! Don't tell anyone but this is "Texas style Bar-b-q" served with the best Homemade Fried Onion Rings you've ever tasted.
The "Choice" steaks are cut fresh daily and never frozen! They are a very popular choice. Served with a "football" size Baked Potato, Texas Toast and Soup & Salad from our Salad Wagon.
That's not all, we have a very large menu filled with all of your favorites.
The Stables is open everyday except for Christmas, Thanksgiving and July 4th. Ownership has never changed at the Stables. Marc & Debbie Prather have Owned and Operated the Stables since it opened December 10th, 1987.
No need to call for reservations unless you have a large group. It is first come, first serve seating. That's only fair! You don't have to worry about the restaurant being booked up before you even get to Guthrie.
Enjoy some classic country or maybe rock n' roll. Also, we have a big screen tv in one of our party rooms for you enjoyment. You will also enjoy our antique fireplace.

We have the largest porcelain sign collection in the state. Another favorite is our Neon Clocks and our Coke Machines. maybe the country. Lots of other antiques are displayed. If you have a sign, bring it, maybe we'll buy it!
